What Is Swagbucks?
Swagbucks was founded in 2005, located in the U.S. It’s owned by Prodege.
Swagbucks is a reward-based system that provides credit points that accumulate and may be converted to actual dollars in 7 different ways. These ways include:
- Taking Swagbucks Surveys
- Watching Videos
- Getting Cash Back for online purchases
- using the Swagbucks online search engine
- Playing online Games
- Discovering online deals
- Buying Gift Cards
So, if you’re an online person, doing a lot of stuff online, this company might work for you.
Swagbucks is a service that allows users to receive credits that can allow them to buy debit cards, receive percentages back from internet purchases at many participating online retailers and many other services.
They can receive points towards the ability by watching videos on a variety of online sources like Netflix and many other video sources.
They can fill out surveys receiving points as well. There are more than 7 general sources for obtaining points, even bonuses for signing up for a service like Door Dash and completing your first Door Dash delivery pays 150.00 in equivalent points and quite a few opportunities even answering questions randomly posed by the service while using the App on your phone.
So, you will that Swagbucks has too much to offer, you can link their service on your daily routine, but it will take a lot of time if you focus on doing all those stuff online.
How Does Swagbucks Works?
You have to sign up for a free Swagbucks account. Swagbucks points are called SBs. There are many ways to earn points. Signing up to free trials and subscribing to services like TV and online gaming can come with quite a good reward.
You can earn points by shopping online, watching videos, using their search engine, and completing surveys. For every dollar you spend while you’re shopping, you can earn up to 20% cashback in the form of SBs.
Swagbucks has a mobile app that you can use to earn SBs by browsing the web, taking special offers, watching videos and answering surveys (including the daily poll). But some members encounter this problem they cannot do most of the offers because they won’t get verify the phone number. First time trying it the message said they had exceeded the number of tries to verify.
Swagbucks also provided a toolbar for this purpose or you can install the plug-in for your browser to make it easier and avoid using the home page every time but their search engine is not as good as Google and the results can sometimes be unrelated to what you are searching for.
If you also want to gamble the money that you’ve earned from SB, you can use it in their sweepstakes if you want to try your luck and increase your money but it’s a gamble, you can win or lose.
Can You Really Make Money From Swagbucks?
Once you have signed up your free account you can start earning points immediately, which can be exchanged for cash or rewards.
You can earn a small amount by collecting your points you can redeem it by Gift cards: Choose from a wide range of retailers—Amazon, Target, Lands’ End, Chili’s, Starbucks, and many more. PayPal (cash): Get your points redeemed for cash via PayPal.
If you do a lot of surveys, browsing through the Swagbucks search engine, and you are actively using Swagbucks’ features, you can expect to earn a pretty decent amount from Swagbucks. Probably it will take years to earn it, but it really depends on how often you do your task. But there is no option to cash out your points directly for money.
You can also refer friends to sign up on Swagbucks, you’ll earn the bonus when your friend completes the requirements. You’ll also receive 10% of the points they earn, your friend still earns the same amount of points they’d normally earn for life. This means if your friend earns 10,000 Swagbucks you’d receive 1,000 as well.
What I Like About Swagbucks
- The good thing about Swagbucks is you can sign up for free.
- There are many options to earn points
- They have a mobile app so you can do it anywhere you go while doing your online tasks (but it is only working on limited smartphone/tablet).
What I Didn’t Like
- It is very time consuming to do the tasks that Swagbucks provided and you will only get a little amount for this kind of making money online.
- Swagbucks only work in limited countries, unfortunately. In Swagbucks’ case, the countries supported are United States, United Kingdom, Canada, Australia, and Ireland. So, if you’re not living in these listed countries, you cannot join.
- Sometimes, Swagbucks won’t give you credit for the tasks that you completed.
- The customer service is not consistent in their service, some members are complaining of their slow service.
- sometimes you will get disqualified for the survey you attempt for some reason.
- It takes too much time to earn enough points to get a lot of cash.
- Members also complain not receiving the SB they should be eligible for due to tracking issues with Swagbucks. It takes too long to fix it, it’s not worth the effort.
- The payment takes a long time before you can cash out, it takes approximately 10-14 days to process.
- Swagbucks does not let you UNSUBSCRIBE if you are not happy with their service. They change into your homepage. They turn into your search engine.
Is Swagbucks A Scam?
Swagbucks does not appear to be much of a scam, though it can be time-consuming and more involved than most other types of services that are online money-making systems. Though it does pay and one can accumulate points in a large variety of ways if one wants to put this energy into a money-making source, one can earn money but also spend money and time to perform these money-making services so a scam; not so much a scam but a low paying reward system. This is good for the people who want to add some small amount on their wallets while spending their free time. You can do this kind of job when you’re bored and if you’re spending a lot of time online but working on Swagbucks will not make you rich.
Swagbucks may not call scam but it also has some negative feedback from the members. Most complain is about the qualification which they are signing up but at the end of the application, they will get disqualified for no explanations from the site. I also read some review about the member earned over 1000 Swagbucks and used 990 for a $10 Virtual Visa Card that he never received.
Someone or the company deactivated his Swagbucks account as soon as he used his reward bucks for that $10 Visa Card. That member thinks that his account got hacked. Some members also have reported having their accounts deactivated, totally shut down, with all of their points forfeited.
This seems to most commonly happen to members who sign up and then take advantage of several of the Discover/Deals. Contacting support rarely ends up with a satisfactory outcome.
I cannot tell that Swagbucks is really a scam. It can work for people who are not expecting a good income while making money online. Those members call Swagbucks scam because they didn’t get the reward, they are expecting for doing the tasks. I think the income in this company is not really guaranteed.
My Final Thought
Many people love to do some simple online activities like online surveys, games and so on for making money. So, they can use Swagbucks. But my question for you, will it work for a long time or you just want to make money for a short period?
If you want to earn money for a long time and make your passive income why not start your own online businesses?Yes,it will be a bit time consuming, like if you are new then you have to learn and after that you can apply but once you ride on it, no one can stop you-to be a 5 or 7 figure earner. You don’t need any special requirement to establish your own online business. If I can do it, you can do it.
